ACE Role:
My role at ACE consists of; recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training new ACE team members, communicating with and supporting ACE’s job coaches, and administrative tasks such as; payroll, benefits, and scheduling. Additionally, I strive to ensure our culture at ACE is aligned with our purpose and values.

Background:
I grew up in Anoka, Minnesota. I attended Anoka Ramsey Community College my junior and senior year of high school. I received my AA in the Spring of 2019.  I went on to further my education and pursue my bachelor’s degrees from the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), in the fall of 2019. I graduated from UMD in the Spring of 2021, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Public Health. I began job coaching at ACE, working one-on-one with an individual, the summer before my senior year. I fell in love with the culture and ACE’s vision. I grew up knowing that I wanted to pursue a career in which I was able to help people, and ACE has given me that opportunity and opened my eyes to what that looks like for me. I found a passion for human resources management, while working at ACE, and am currently enrolled in the HRM program to receive my masters through Concordia St. Paul University.

ACE Culture:
What I love most about ACE is the passion, purpose, and community. I always tell my friends and family that I work for an organization that has managed to find the most empathetic, passionate, hard-working individuals in Duluth. The ACE community is so selfless and willing to go above and beyond their service recipients and for each other. The empathy and passion that runs through this company is infectious and I truly feel like a better person after working at ACE for the past two years.
